HRF 10 (For super high wear-resistant): Ultra micro-grain quality carbide is ultra high wear resistant, but less impact-resistant. It is applied in mid and low-speed light cutting of various materials that require ultra-high wear resistance. Generally, it is applied in good work condition, stable cutting, good part fixture and continuous light-duty machining. Comparing with general tungsten steel, it has more than 4~6 times lifetime. Corresponding to ISO K10~K25/P10~P25.

The geometry and sharpening of the reducing edges are fundamental to the performance of the bit. Small bits that emerge as blunt are often discarded because sharpening them effectively is challenging and they are low cost to replace. For larger bits, exceptional grinding jigs are available. A distinct device grinder is accessible for sharpening or reshaping reducing surfaces on twist drill bits in order to optimize the bit for a particular material.

Long sequence drill bits are unusually long twist drill bits. However, they are no longer the high-quality device for mechanically drilling deep holes, as they require time-honoured withdrawal to clear the flutes of swarf and to stop breakage of the bit. Instead, gun drill bits are favoured for deep hole drilling.
